Girl Painted on Wall Optical Illusion

Below is a very interesting optical illusion effect. The questions for consideration in regard to this image are as follows:

Are the clothes painted on the girl?

or

Is the girl painted on the wall?

This is the image as I found it on the web. There was no head to give me a clue. My first impression is that this is a real girl with clothes painted on her.

However if you look closely it would be easy to believe that this girl was actually painted on the wall.

    Difficult. My vote is that the whole thing is painted or a picture of a girl was digitally manipulated and placed on that background. The transition between girl and background just doesn't look right somehow.

    i think the girl is real as you cant really get them colours right for the skin or shadows on the skin

    The redness areas on her left shoulder and stomach make me think it is a real girl that has been painted. You see similar pics in Playboy. The cover of a recent Playboy was of a woman wearing a painted outfit.

    Upon close inspection, I believe it is a real girl, with the image perhaps digitally distorted. If it was a painting, you would see a similar gradient in the clothes and the skin of the girl, but there is a striking difference. Also, there are effects of lighting on the skin which are different than the clothes, which would be very hard to do with pure paint.
