How about the photo below. It would seem impossible to believe that these are balanced. Look at the center stack, there is no way those rocks are balanced. Right?

So what do you think is the mysterious force holding these rocks in place?
Update: Click the image to go to Bill's site and read his explanation for yourself.
Ok your right the center stack was photographed in mid fall. A split second prior to this photo being snapped they were in balance but the earth is spinning at about 2,000 miles per hour. At that speed it is amazing that any of us can balance.
ReplyDeleteI think they were photographed on the ground then added
ReplyDeleteyou'r wrong. earth spinning doesn't influence ballance, since you (and everything else) is spinning with it in the same time... so your physics isn't very well (it's basic principle)
ReplyDeletecoreoles force does influence it, but it's somehing different that influences moving bodies. read some books...
it was done probably by photoshop or by insering steel poles, bars through the objects so we don't see them.
Let me be clear. The spinning earth was "a joke". These rocks are balanced and held in place by gravity. There was no photo trickery or steel rods or glue. If you go to his site he has many videos of putting the rocks in place. There are also many rock balancing groups/clubs around the country as a result of his work.
ReplyDeleteMy name is Bill Dan - I am the Rocks Balancing Artist and also the one that took the picture - The picture in question is taken at the moment the middle rocks were about to fall - on My web site We explained the moment a little bit [ check out the particular page ].
