Description Presented here is a vast gallery of many different forms of Optical Illusions. Whether these optical illusions are conveyed through fractals, photographs, architecture, art, or old fashioned pen and ink, they are bound to remind you that "seeing is not believing."

Caution!!!! Some of the optical illusions on this blog may cause dizziness or possibly epileptic seizures. The latter happens when the brain can't handle the conflicting information from your two eyes. If you start feeling unwell when using this website, immediately cover one eye with your hand and then leave the page. Do not close your eyes because that can make the attack worse.

Here is an optical illusion for the Christmas season.

Do you see the angel trumpeting the arrival of Christ?

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Trumpeting Angel image

For those that can't see it here is an angel I found on Google that is similar to the optical illusion above. The angel is in the opening in the clouds above in the center of the top area.

ah, ok. I can clearly see it now.

Maybe my lack of faith prevented me from seeing it before.?

I doubt that it was a lack of faith, but in order to see this illusion you do need a point of reference.

If your only reference is a snow angel then this type angel would be very hard to see.

sorry, i don't know how to blog. i just have to know where this angel photo was taken. i also saw this same type of angel in the sky in fairfield california/ possibly on this same day. i could not take my eyes off the sky long enough to get a camera...i stood outside for nearly an hour watching it as the sun set...i don't know how anyone could not see this angel as plain as day ???? also, can i use this photo for a class i teach on exercising the mind for elders? i know they will love seeing it. i show them many illusions as they are great for stretching the perceptual muscles, so to speak...

Ramona,

This picture is not mine. The copyright info is listed but I wasn't able to come up with an e-mail for the photographer.

My guess is that since you are using it for a local educational pupose that he won't mind.

I would go to this url

http://www.flickr.com/photos/knett/26251046/

and leave the photographer a message asking for permission to use the image.
