Real Impossible Construction?
This optical illusion is very well done. Can you guess the exact nature of this construction.
Hint: Not all seemingly 90 degree angles are even close to 90 degrees.
I don't think it's a couple of blocks. I think this illusion involves a carving. What is being seen is actually concave (I think). The hand is covering up a nail going the other way and due to the darkness and the angle, you don't see the other end of the other nail. It's like looking at a drawing of a cube with an open face. Which way would that cube be facing? I think this follows the same concept.
3 blocks of wood. 2 stacked, the top one being slide back to uncover the bottom. 3 block is cut at an angle ALMOST to the other side of the block. Then cut again length wise, all the way to the previous cut leaving a very thin strip of the side of the block intact. the 3rd block is attached to the top block. Camera perspective does the rest.//
This illusion can rather be seen in our daily life. Yes even with me , sometimes it happens but only the difference is that we are unable to notice or observe that illusion .
Hi walt, good snap & nice blog, i will visit ur blog regularly, i think u should go for this link to increase visitor. BTW keep posting & happy blogging.
I have seen something like this before. No matter how long I look I still can’t see how it is done. I know that the hand is key to this illusion_ but not sure how.
wow, your blog is amazing ! I googled the word 'purple' clicked on an optical illusion that brought me here. I made an illustration and attempted to create an optical illusion around it. It's nowhere near as good as some of stuff on your blog. Love this kind of stuff. It's magic !

ReplyDeleteYes, Optical Illusions is always around us in different forms or areas but we miss it out due to our low awareness of what is happening around us.
