Tesla Coil Etc...

No illusion here. This is the real deal operating at 15 kva or 15000 watts. Every now and then I have to place a non illusion post up because the name is Optical Illusions Etc... This tesla coil was created by David Riebens.

  3. That is pretty amazing. But am I the only one wondering what the heck they're doing with this thing in a clearly residential neighborhood? Looking at that thing gives me nightmares of some kid walking into it and getting fried!

  6. Looks like a nice residential neighborhood. I wonder if a neighbor called the cops? What kind of kid would walk into a Tesla coil?
Instructions to build a Tesla coil are here: http://www.teslacoildesign.com/

  7. "What kind of kid would walk into a Tesla coil?"

The kind of kid who's a kid. You know, the kind who doesn't know any better. Or the kind who is running around being a kid and trips or just accidentally runs into it.
