Description Presented here is a vast gallery of many different forms of Optical Illusions. Whether these optical illusions are conveyed through fractals, photographs, architecture, art, or old fashioned pen and ink, they are bound to remind you that "seeing is not believing."

Caution!!!! Some of the optical illusions on this blog may cause dizziness or possibly epileptic seizures. The latter happens when the brain can't handle the conflicting information from your two eyes. If you start feeling unwell when using this website, immediately cover one eye with your hand and then leave the page. Do not close your eyes because that can make the attack worse.

Springtime Word Optical Illusion

I've seen this illusion many times. Read the words in the triangle below out loud.

Paris in Springtime Optical Illusion

Are you sure you read this passage correctly?

I started to think it wasn't that great of an illusion. The trouble is since I've seen it before I couldn't imagine anyone not reading this correctly. I brought it up on my screen today and asked my 15 year old son to read the words out loud.

He said "I love Paris in the springtime" I told him that he got it wrong and to try again. This time he said, "I love Paris in the springtime". Two times in a row he read it wrong. I gave him one more chance and again he said, "I love Paris in the springtime".

At this point I read it out loud to him and he acknowledged that he had been wrong.

Did you read it the same as my son?

Do you know why he was wrong?

Make sure you read all seven words.

I Love Paris in THE THE springtime.

There are 2 "THE" in the sentence most people are blind to this and automatically filter out one of the "THEs" and read it out loud as "I love Paris in the springtime" Thus they actually only say 6 of the 7 words.

God! I saw that illusion on another site and I didn't get it... I had to google it to find your page where it suddenly jumped at me... How tricky.

My young daughter and I did this together. We didn't get it. Then we thought we were clever and it was saying "I love pears in the springtime". When you say it fast, that's what it sounds like. I had to read the comments and then we couldn't stop laughing.

I had to do exactly the same as said before, I saw it on a previous site and had to google it to actually see trick!! I got it quite soon after reading it on this site though so i even checked the first one to check there were two of 'The' in that one as well!! Its so weird how you completely blank it out!!

Two of the same words right next to each other. Our brains skip over the second "the" "The"
