The Ouchi illusion, illustrated below, is an illusion named after its inventor, Japanese artist Hajime Ouchi. Notice how the circular disk seems to float above the checkered background as your eyes scan the image. This effect can be heightened by grabbing the scroll bar and sliding it up and down while viewing the image.

I am enjoying your optical illusion posts. Have you explored any concepts relating to how psychological factors, innate wiring, and other factors affect our visual perception? This can be quite important in many occupations and situations (Radiology) where there are many optical illusions that affect how we interpret an image.
